Stretch
like yoga
feel every bit of tired muscles that are needing attention,
sore spots that I didn't know were there until I twisted and bent and stretched
reaching for a new bend, a new release, a new goal
aware of limitations but pulling and reaching just a bit further
holding on for one more second, another second
breathe
little creaks in my spine
more mobility
taller
bolder
relaxed
onward
I'm starting to notice a theme with your posts. First the treadmill, now stretching. I'm wondering what tomorrow will be!
ReplyDeleteI havent gotten around to eating!
DeleteI'm so excited to see you using the word of the day! I am part of the Teach Write community, too! I agree with Stacey - a theme is starting to emerge. Maybe some of your healthy habits will rub off onto me if I keep reading your posts! Ha!
ReplyDeleteYour slice makes me miss yoga. I first tried it only a few years ago, but that instructor moved away, then the next one did, and her replacement was not the teacher I needed. This year I tried it again, but the instructor was way too fast, as I am a beginner. Maybe someday I will get back to it. Your description brought back fond memories.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth - As a yogi, I love your Slice. Also, I lost a dear friend who shared your name, so I love your name as well. She was a wonderful soul. Thank you for your post and welcome to SOL. I'm a newbie, too!
